Discovery & Brief

Every great space begins with understanding the people who will inhabit it. Our discovery phase is a deep-dive into your world — your lifestyle, aesthetics, functional needs, and aspirations.

We schedule an initial consultation (in-studio or virtual) followed by an on-site assessment of your space. We ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and leave with a comprehensive brief that guides every decision ahead.

What You Receive
  • Project brief document
  • Site measurement & photography
  • Budget framework
  • Preliminary mood board
  • Signed engagement letter

Concept Design

This is where imagination meets expertise. Our design team translates the brief into a rich visual concept — mood boards, material palettes, spatial layouts, and 3D visualisations that bring your future space to life before a single wall is touched.

We present two concept directions, walk you through each in detail, then refine your preferred direction through a collaborative feedback process until the design feels completely, unmistakably yours.

What You Receive
  • 2 concept directions (mood boards)
  • Detailed floor plans & layout
  • 3D renders (key rooms)
  • Material & finishes palette
  • Preliminary furniture schedule

Design Development

With the concept approved, we move into the detailed design phase — developing every room down to the last millimetre. Custom furniture drawings, detailed electrical plans, lighting design, and complete specification documents are prepared.

We also begin sourcing and place orders for long-lead items during this phase, ensuring materials and bespoke pieces arrive on schedule once work begins on-site.

What You Receive
  • Detailed design drawings (all rooms)
  • Custom furniture shop drawings
  • Electrical & lighting plan
  • Complete specification document
  • Contractor tender package

Styling & Reveal

The most anticipated moment of any project — the reveal. Once civil and installation work is complete, our styling team moves in. Art is hung, plants are placed, books are stacked, candles are lit.

You're invited to walk through your transformed space for the first time, and we capture it professionally for your records. We then hand over a maintenance guide and welcome you to your new home.

What You Receive
  • Complete styling & installation
  • Professional photography
  • Care & maintenance guide
  • 12-month aftercare support
  • Supplier contact directory

Questions Answered

Process FAQs

How involved do I need to be in the process?
As much or as little as you prefer. Some clients love weekly touchpoints; others prefer a monthly update. We adapt to your availability while ensuring key decisions are always made collaboratively.
Can the process timeline be shortened?
For styling projects, yes. For full interior design and renovation work, timelines are driven by lead times for bespoke furniture and civil work — we give realistic estimates and stick to them.
What if I change my mind mid-project?
Design is iterative, and minds do change. We have a structured change order process that documents any scope changes with clear cost and timeline implications before we proceed.
Do you work with a client's existing furniture?
Absolutely. During the brief phase we inventory your existing pieces and determine what to keep, repurpose, or retire. We're skilled at integrating existing furniture into new concepts.
How do you handle contractor relationships?
We have a vetted network of trusted contractors built over 12 years. We manage them directly, but all contractual and payment relationships are between you and the contractors — we act as your agent.
